After training and working in the City of London, I joined Flint Bishop LLP in 1998. I subsequently became a partner and now head up the employment team.
I have specialised in employment all my qualified career and am a member of the ELA.
I advise a wide range of clients on their employment matters ranging between government bodies and plcs to small and medium sized companies.
I believe in building strong lasting relationships with our clients and providing a quality service in a friendly approachable way.

I moved to the east midlands from my native Wales in 2003 when I started working for Flint Bishop LLP as a trainee solicitor. From an early stage in my training I knew employment was the area for me as it was interesting and ever changing. I qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and still enjoy the challenge involved in finding practical solutions for my clients problems.
In terms of what I do when I am not at work, I mainly enjoy doing anything that involves relaxation and escapism whether that is spending time with friends and family, getting engrossed in a good book or film or exploring a new part of the world (both at home and abroad).

"Twenty questions"- that's the nickname I developed as a child. Born from my inquisitive nature, thirst for knowledge and appetite for challenges. So, a career as an employment lawyer seemed a perfect match. Originally from Belfast, stopping at Spain and Scotland, I arrived in Derby to join Flint Bishop LLP in 2005 as a trainee solicitor. When I am not asking questions, my other passions include wildlife, food, socialising, sports (of any kind) and generally anything that keeps me busy.

My name is Laura Evans and I am the newest addition to the employment department having qualified in September 2009. The majority of my case load currently consists of compromise agreements although I do regularly assist the rest of the team with respondent work.
Prior to qualification I trained with Flint Bishop LLP. During my training I spent 8 months in the employment department and was involved in all aspects of employment law. I also spent time in the personal injury, commercial property and wills and probate departments.
I completed my law degree at the University of Sheffield before undertaking the legal practice course at Staffordshire University Law School. I live in Ashbourne, Derbyshire and in my spare time I play solo cornet in a brass band.

I am the FBsupport human resources specialist. My career started working in all areas of the management and development of employees at M&S.
After four years I moved into the specialist field of recruitment and worked for an international recruitment company undertaking all aspects of recruitment within the accountancy sector.
Next I became the HR manager for a highly reputable east midlands accountancy firm where I substantially developed the HR function, taking it to a new level both in terms of both internal and client HR support. I then became the HR director to a corporate events company and took on the challenge of setting up and developing a HR function within the business.
I have now ran my own independent HR consultancy business for 8 years and I work closely with Flint Bishop LLP providing our clients with HR support.
With over 23 years of HR knowledge and experience I offer practical HR advice and support in key areas of HR to businesses with day to day people management issues.

I have been working for Flint Bishop LLP since 2005 as a PA in the employment department. I have just had a year off after the birth of my first child Lottie. Any spare time I have is spent socialising with friends and playing netball although most of my time is taken up looking after my daughter and my dog – Lady.

I have been working within a legal background for around ten years. In 2006 I was lucky enough to take a two year break from my work and some of that time was spent travelling around France and Spain in an American RV. I now work as a PA for the employment department and in my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends and family and dreaming of more travel.
